Drowning in her eyes: poem by Aakash Agrahari

 Drowning in her eyes

I am drowning in her eyes
And I don't even mind
I am lost in their depths
And I don't want to be found

Her eyes are like the brown ocean
And I am like a ship
Tossed about by the waves
Of her emotions

I am sinking fast
And I can't fight it
I am pulled under
By the power of her gaze

And as I am drowning
I am also being born
Into a new life
A life where her eyes
Are my only guide

I see the beauty in the depths of her soul.
I see the passion and the fire,
And I can't help but to drown in her eyes.

I am drowning in her eyes
It's like looking into the deep end
I can see my reflection
And I am sinking
I am losing my breath
I am gasping for air

But I am content
In this moment
Because I am with her
And that is all that matters

I see the world in her eyes,
And I can't help but to drown in them.
I see the beauty and the mystery,
And I can't help but to drown in her eyes.
